The CDWS & Eco-Diving: How We Protect the Red Sea Together

Diving in Egypt is world-class, not by accident, but by design. The Chamber of Diving and Watersports (CDWS) is the governing body that ensures safety and quality standards across the industry.

At Mega Aventures, we are proud to be fully compliant with CDWS regulations. But why does this matter to you, and how does it protect the ocean?

What is the CDWS? Established by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism, the CDWS audits diving centers and boats. They ensure:

  • Safety: Pure air in tanks, emergency equipment on board, and professional staff.

  • Quality: If a center isn’t CDWS certified, it’s operating illegally. Always check for the ISO certification!

Protecting the “Blue” (Marine Parks) Egypt has some of the oldest protected Marine Parks in the world (like Ras Mohammed). To dive here, we follow strict “Green Fins” guidelines:

  1. No Touching: Even a finger touch can kill sensitive coral polyps.

  2. No Feeding: Feeding fish disrupts the ecosystem and makes marine life aggressive.

  3. Buoyancy Control: We train divers to hover perfectly to avoid crashing into the reef.

Conclusion When you dive with us, you are diving with a responsible operator who cares about your safety and the future of our oceans. Dive safe, dive eco-friendly. Learn more about our [Sustainability Commitment].
